Outdoor Garden Lighting

Outdoor garden lighting is not only a beautiful way to display your hard efforts of your garden, but can also be a very nice safety measure. Basically there are about nine different types of  outdoor lighting.

*Low Voltage and Solar Garden Lighting: Low voltage lighting is anti-shock, so it is great for families with small children, and pets. The energy, used for running these lights, is supplied by the power pack and is controlled by an automatic timer. Another form of energy efficient outdoor lighting is solar garden lighting. One really nice thing about solar garden lighting is the fact that there aren’t any wires to deal with. They absorb the sunlight throughout the day, then at night they illuminate the general area, it isn’t meant for large areas or parties.

*Outdoor Garden Lighting Ideas: It is totally and completely all in your hands how you decorate and light your garden, whether you go big scale or just a little light. Below are some different choices you can make and what scale you want to go and how much you want to pay, of course the more grand you go the more money it will cost not only to set it up, but for the energy to run it monthly.

*Path Lighting: This is a very smart, useful, and delightfully beautiful thing to do to your garden. It makes a path leading to your garden making it a safe walkway in addition the wires are well hidden so there isn’t any tripping and falling

*Step Lighting:These are small lighting and only go where desired to light steps or stones that someone may likely trip on and use very little light.

*Up lighting: Up lighting is on a more grander scheme, it is meant to draw attention to a main focal point. I tend to call this the bat signal, like they used in the batman movies and shows. It is a  huge light that lights up one specific area  and causes you to focus on it alone.

*Down Lighting: This lighting comes from above the plant, making it look more natural looking and makes it look nice and natural.
*Specialty Lighting:It usually calls for either in-wall, or surface mounted outdoor lighting installations. It helps to provide interesting highlight areas in the garden and define vertical surface areas.
*Pool & Pond Lighting: This specific type of lighting has been specially designed to withstand the harsh conditions found in and around garden pools & ponds and also stand rainy areas.
*Lighting Accessories: There are all kinds of accessories, whether you want to go luau theme, tiki torches type lighting, paper machete, Chinese lantern style or just your standard fixtures.
Whatever your choice of outdoor garden lighting may be, you cannot go wrong. It is not only beautiful and functional, but it draws attention to all your hard work and all the money you spent to make it so adorable. So grab your specific lights and design the way you want it to look and function, stand back and show it off!
